The Mediation Society will present its next Breakfast Roundtable on Tuesday, December 14, 2004 at Golden Gate University, 536 Mission Street, Room 2310, San Francisco, from 7:45 am to 9:00 am. James R. Madison, a former president of the California Dispute Resolution Council, will lead a roundtable discussion on “Significant Mediation Cases In 2004.” Mr. Madison, a lawyer who functions full time as a dispute resolution neutral – an arbitrator, mediator, special master, partnering facilitator and dispute review board member, is a former partner in the San Francisco office of Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe and is a member of the Large Complex Case Panel, the Employment Panel, the Panel of International Arbitrators and the Mediator Panel of the American Arbitration Association. He brings expertise to the mediation and arbitration of construction, employment and other business disputes. As an adjunct professor of law at the University of San Francisco Law School, he has taught dispute resolution and arbitration, and as an instructor at Stanford University Law School, has taught trial advocacy as well as USF. Please join us for what promises to be a most interesting roundtable discussion. There is no charge for this event and members may bring guests. Coffee, juice, and pastries will be served.
