As a member of the Judicial Council’s Civil and Small Claims Advisory Committee Judge Robert B. Freedman is Chair of the ADR Subcommittee and of the Working Group on Ethical Standards for Mediators in Court Connected Mediation Programs. Before taking his current judicial position in July, 1998, Judge Freedman served on the Oakland-Piedmont-Emeryville Municipal Court. His current assignments include Civil Jury Trial Department and Civil Case Management; member of the Court Executive Committee; and Chair of the Information Technology Committee. He sits on the Board of Trustees for the B.E. Witkin-Alameda County Law Library, and is also co-instructing an ADR Course at the B.E. Witkin California Judicial College.
