Are you aware of the recent changes to California law which impact mediated harassment settlements? Learn about the top 2019 employment laws which prohibit or limit certain common settlement provisions, and discuss how they are impacting mediation practices. There will be time to share your experiences of what has changed (or not) in harassment mediation, in terms of negotiating strategies, demands/offers and more.
About our Presenter: Claudia Viera is an effective attorney-mediator who focuses on employment, contract and business disputes. Since 2001, Ms. Viera has mediated nearly a thousand tough legal disputes. She works actively with both attorneys and parties to help them achieve a better resolution than either side would achieve in court. Ms. Viera honed her skills as an employment attorney with Littler Mendelson and is known for her patience and excellence in resolving high-emotion conflicts.
