Dynamically team-taught and providing hands-on, interactive learning, this comprehensive workshop will deliver tips, techniques and practice for attorneys representing clients in mediation, as well as for seasoned mediators.
24 useful dos and don’ts for advocates.
Pre-mediation skills: preparing questions for the other side, preparing the client to participate, and selecting the best mediator for the job.
Mediation strategies: negotiating skills, caucusing techniques, and methods for generating solutions.
Class size is limited to ensure that each participant receives individualized attention.
6 hours of MCLE Credit, including 1 hour of Legal Ethics.
Faculty: This challenging and entertaining workshop is team taught by nationally recognized mediators Elizabeth Allen and Donald Mohr owners of Coast to Coast Mediation Center. Mediating since 1982, authors of Affordable Justice and Ten Steps to Effective Mediation Marketing, they bring practical experience and energy to this workshop.

Early Registration (by 10/17/01) : $195 BASF and Mediation Society members, $220 all others
Late Registration (after 10/17/01) : $225 BASF and Mediation Society members, $250 all others
Cost includes materials, continental breakfast, lunch and refreshments at all breaks.
Cancellation Policy: Written cancellations received 16 or more calendar days prior to the workshop receive a refund less an administration fee of $50. Cancellations received 15 to 5 calendar days prior to the workshop receive a refund less a cancellation fee of $100. Cancellations received less than 5 days prior to the course are ineligible for a refund. If you are unable to attend, substitution may be made at anytime with no added charge.
Special Information: This activity has been approved for Minimum Continuing Legal Education credit in the amount of 6 hours. The Bar Association of San Francisco certifies that this activity conforms to the standards for approved CLE activities prescribed by the Rules and regulations of the State Bar of California.
