Description:

An interactive discussion of different malpractice insurance options.  Reference will be made to the provisions of various malpractice insurance policies of participants.  Review and contrast of particular provisions and discussion of how Courts have interpreted certain provisions.  Participants are urged to bring a copy of their own malpractice policy with them.  When you bring your policy, please bring the declarations page (the one with your name and the limits and deductible amounts), main/core policy form, and endorsements.  Preference will be given to discussion of the forms that are in the room so phone participation is discouraged but is still an option. Registrants are encouraged to send by e-mail to Rachel Ehrlich PDFs of their complete policy with identifying information redacted, these may be distributed to registrants in advance.  The subject of whether mediators need insurance will not be addressed.

Rachel Ehrlich is a mediator who works on disputes that involve dirt, death, and disillusionment. Her mediation practice is founded on her extensive experience with insurance coverage and claims. Dispute types in which Rachel is often retained include personal injury matters arising from all types of scenarios, defective construction, other construction and real estate disputes including landlord-tenant and neighbor conflict, product liability and other complex and multi-party litigation. Prior to becoming a mediator Rachel managed the resolution of tens of thousands of insurance matters, spread across every state in the country.
