The Mediation Society & the Bar Association of San Francisco proudly present their Spring Training Program “”Attorneys in Mediation: For Better or Worse”” on Saturday, April 24, 2004 at Golden Gate University, Room 525, 536 Mission Street, San Francisco from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. The Program will offer mediators an opportunity to improve their relationship with advocates and attorney advocates an opportunity to improve their participation in the mediation process. At the morning session, a panel of highly experienced advocates (Mary Alexander, Steve Goldstein, Randolph Hall and Marjorie Heinrich) will speak on their strategies in mediation and their recommendations for mediatiors. At the afternoon session, a second panel of four leading mediators (Gary Friedman, Kenneth Hawkins, Debra Mellinkoff and Martin Quinn) will speak on their work with advocates. Sheila Purcell, the Director of San Mateo Court Multi-Option ADR Project, will also speak separately. The format of the Program will be interactive and participants are encouraged to bring their own questions and issues to enrich the discussion. Cost of the Program: Early Registration (by April 1, 2004) – $100 for Mediation Society and BASF/ADR Section Members; $125 after April 1, 2004. All others $125 by April 1, 2004 and $150 after April 1, 2004. CLE: 6 hours.n
