The Cassel Decision: Implications for Mediation Confidentiality led by Gary Weiner
Wednesday, February 9, 2011
The Cassel case will have been decided by the Supreme Court by the time this TMS roundtable is held. No matter the decision, there will be much to understand and discuss. Gary Weiner, Mediation Program Administrator for the Court of Appeal, First Appellate District, knows this case well and attended oral argument. He will present a précis of the opinion and give an overview of the historical background of the case and its significance in the history of mediation confidentiality in California. Gary will also facilitate what is sure to be a robust conversation about the ethical, practical and professional implications of the decision for us all as practitioners and students of mediation.
